Create ToChange Business Engagement Officer andKey Worker
37 hours per week
Occasional weekend and evening work will be required
Salary: £22,837.50, subject to annual pay rise in April
The role will include:
- Working with the Training, Skills, and Opportunities team to provide a holistic service for young people and adults to secure and complete paid industry placements focusing on Digital, Creative and Arts based sectors.
- Carrying out a holistic initial assessment, ensuring young person is right for provision, work placement and gets the correct support on their learning experience.
- Lead on recruitment strategies, working closely with points of referrals, such as the Job Centre Plus. Working within the Training team to ensure a high level of service is delivered through support and effective communication within the Department.
- Create SMART action plans with young people and adults providing them with continued support and undertake regular reviews.
- Supporting the young person during and post-placement to ensure they progress into a positive opportunity, with the priority be paid employment.
- Communicating relevant placement/work experience opportunities to students and providing information, advice, and feedback to students on placement/work experience opportunities.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Show commitment to further develop knowledge and skills relevant to the post through training and development opportunities.
- Have experience of working with young people and adults with an employability skills focus.
- Maintain high levels of confidentiality.
- Have the ability to use a PC for word processing, data collection, email, and interpreting information contained on IT systems.
- Have experience of assessing needs and providing emotional and practical support to young people and adults
- Have the ability to demonstrate sensitivity to people from diverse family and cultural backgrounds.
- Have the ability to work as part of a team and to support colleagues as necessary i.e. having a flexible approach
