Job description

This position offers a chance join the Council and help lead in the transformation of its Revenue Services, particularly in relation to its Miscellaneous Incomes. Motivation and experience in debt collection and leading staff are essential, together with excellent communication skills, since you will be responsible for assisting Councillors and members of the public with enquiries.

Your next role

You will report to the Head of Revenues and Benefits and be responsible for a team of staff that directly collect £65 million per annum. You will also manage colleagues that monitor the performance of our service provider in collecting over £200 million of Council Tax and Business Rates.   

You will ideally be educated to A Level standard or equivalent and have a strong background in debt collection and management, with managerial experience.

Candidates must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act – for the effective performance of a customer-facing role).
