As a Credit Control Manager in our Shared Service Centre based in Leeds, Yorkshire and the Humber, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the Credit Control activities within our multicurrency, multiple entity environment across the EMEA region. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a competitive salary of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, along with hybrid work options and a bonus scheme.
Job Duties:- Manage and lead the Credit Control team in the Shared Service Centre, ensuring the timely and effective collection of outstanding debts
- Monitor and review Credit Control processes, policies, and procedures to optimise cash flow and minimise bad debt risk
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, such as sales and customer service teams, to resolve credit-related issues and improve overall credit management
- Oversee the credit assessment of new customers and evaluate credit limits based on financial analysis and risk assessment
- Implement and maintain Credit Control systems and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy in debt recovery
- Prepare regular reports and analysis on Credit Control performance, debt ageing, and cash flow forecasts for management review
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies
- Handle escalated customer queries and disputes, providing timely and satisfactory resolutions
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practises in Credit Control and recommend process improvements
- CICM qualification
- A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in Credit Control, preferably in a Shared Service Centre environment
- Proven experience in managing a Credit Control team and driving results
- Strong understanding of Credit Control principles, practises, and regulations
- Excellent knowledge of multicurrency Credit Control processes and procedures
- Proficiency in using Credit Control systems and tools
- Ability to analyse financial data and perform risk assessments
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Strong leadership and people management abilities
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Additional professional certifications in credit management or finance
