Our roles are hybrid, however you should be able to travel to our Edinburgh office, 2 days per week for this position.

We’re looking for an Infrastructure Analyst to join our Banking Risk team at Tesco Bank.

You’ll be joining an innovative, driven team where you will be supporting the delivery of rules in-line with business requirements within Decision Engines spanning the full credit lifecycle. It is a great time to join the team as we continue to grow our lending portfolio’s and manage our existing customer exposure, all the while we embark on an exciting 10 year partnership with Barclays UK.

You’ll be working within either the new business, existing customer or SAS decisioning teams that sit within Banking Risk, reporting to a Senior Managers in one of these teams. You will closely work with our portfolio & analytics teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
You’ll be working alongside experienced colleagues will bring a wealth of learning opportunities, as well as the broad exposure of decision engines across the full credit lifecycle.

What you’ll be doing

  • Responsible for day to day development and support of the key decision engines owned across Banking Risk
  • Maintaining regular engagement with key stakeholders across the business, ensuring you maintain a workstack that reflects the needs and priorities of our internal customers
  • Investigating root causes of issues and seeking realistic resolutions and deliver changes promptly
  • Managing and controlling the operational risk associated with our decision engines

We need you to have

  • Experience in developing at least one decision engine (SDS, PCO, PCCM, TSYS, TRIAD, SAS) across Credit Risk, as well as having awareness of others
  • Ability to operate in fast paced change environment, with capability to co-ordinate/manage change & deliver to tight timescales.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing demanding workloads of self and others
  • Awareness of Credit Risk disciplines within Banking

And if you have any of these, even better

  • Operational risk and control management experience
  • Change Management, co-ordination and oversight experience
  • Supplier and business service ownership experience
  • Financial Crime awareness

Role Alignment

Following the announcement regarding Tesco's' strategic partnership with Barclays, this role will support our banking business and will transfer to Barclay's UK towards the end of 2024, subject to regulatory approval. Please note, the transfer date may change.
