Are you an experienced Crime Paralegal or Legal Assistant seeking a fresh challenge with a leading Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners ranked Firm?
Our esteemed Private Practice client is seeking a Crime Caseworker or Paralegal with a strong background within a criminal law capacity to join their team. You should demonstrate exceptional communication skills and a genuine dedication to assisting clients through complex procedures. Working closely with the Firm's dedicated Solicitors, you will assist in managing cases to include criminal charges, trials, investigations, and other related matters. This position offers a rewarding chance to make a positive impact on individuals navigating legal complexities and would suit an individual capable of adapting quickly.
You will be working in an entirely paperless environment, with recent investment in modern IT.

What will be expected from you?
  • To work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Undertake thorough initial consultations with clients to gather information regarding their case and personal circumstances
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis
  • Coordinate with clients, opposing parties, and relevant professionals involved in cases
  • To collect evidence and exchange information.
  • Managing case files ensuring accuracy and organisation
  • Assist in scheduling court hearings and meetings
  • Attend court hearings, taking notes and assisting with case presentation
  • Familiarity with legal aid processes
  • It would be advantageous to be Police station accreditation or working towards this
  • Good communication skills, the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
