Salary Hi! We are currently looking to recruit a fully qualified Duty Solicitor, specialising in Criminal Defence.
The salary will range between GBP50,000 and GBP55,000 dependent upon experience/PQE.
You will work primarily in and around the Worcestershire area as our work is predominantly in Kidderminster Magistrates Court, Worcester Magistrates Court, Redditch Magistrates Court, and occasionally Hereford Magistrates Court. You will also be expected to cover police stations in the above areas.
We also have cases in London, Cardiff, Norwich, Peterborough, and Lincolnshire; therefore, on some occasions, you will be expected to travel to these geographical areas to cover court work/hearings.
Preferred knowledge:
Higher rights advocacy is preferable, and that will be reflected in the higher end of the salary. Knowledge and experience in the use of the Leap case management system would be advantageous, but not essential; as full training will be given. All notes for hearings are expected to be typed and logged on to the digital file as well as the physical file, and all time recording is to be completed on our case management system.
