Working as part of the HMP YOI Stirling’s Finance & Busniesss Team, the post hoder will be responsible for providing administrative support for HMP YOI Stirling, CCU Bella and CCU Lilias with a particular focus on the criminal related administration.
Responsibilities

Accurately interpreting, validating and calculating all warrants and accompanying documentation in compliance with legislations and policies across 3 establishments

Ensuring compliance with record retention policies by processing and storing all relevant documentation pertaining to a prisoner’s time in our establishments

Preparing documents and associated activities relating to prisoner transfers/ release/ court appearances. Ensuring all Prisoner Record Systems (PR2) are accurately updated and maintained at all times to account for any change in prisoner circumstances within the 3 establishments

Ensure clear written and verbal communications to both internal stakeholders and external contacts within the criminal justice service of any changes to relating to prisoners in our care in a timely manner

Provide other administrative relief within the team as required

Qualification Requirements

A minimum of five National 5 (or equivalent) qualifications, including English and Mathematics or relevant experience gained in a similar role and/or environment. ESSENTIAL

Successful completion of SPS Warrants training or willing to work towards. ESSENTIAL
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements

Competent in MS Office Packages including Excel, Word, Outlook etc. ESSENTIAL

Ability to prioritise workload and ability to work individually and as part of a team. ESSENTIAL

Excellent numerical skills and ability to interpret and compare a range of information and to have well-developed communication skills both oral and written. ESSENTIAL

Understanding of relevant SPS policies, procedures, knowledge of relevant national legislation and guidelines, experience of Sentence Calculation and PR2. DESIRABLE
