An exciting opportunity has emerged within our Southwark service for a Criminal Justice Team Leader to join our vibrant team, committed to supporting individuals with drug and/or alcohol issues involved in the Criminal Justice system.
Position:Team Leader
Allowance:£4072.06 Inner London Weighting
This position is a Fixed Term Contract until March 2025, and we welcome applications from internal staff interested in a secondment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- As a Team Leader, you will provide guidance, support, and direction to a team of dedicated recovery workers.
- Your role involves operational line management of your team, including supervision, appraisal, performance, and sickness management.
- Empowering your staff to instill hope, empowerment, choices, control, and opportunities in service users, enabling them to realise their full potential, is a crucial aspect of your role.
- You'll collaborate with various Criminal Justice Agencies, such as police, probation, court staff, and liaison and diversion partners, to develop pathways and mutual ways of working for optimal outcomes.
- Building strong relationships with local prisons to ensure seamless transitions for service users upon release is another key component of your role.
To excel in this role:
- We seek an individual with substantial experience in the substance misuse or Criminal Justice sector.
- You should possess knowledge and experience in developing and leading health and social care services, delivering services that demonstrate high performance and quality standards.
- Significant experience in leading teams working with families under social care intervention is advantageous.
- Familiarity with current legislation surrounding children, young people, and safeguarding practice is essential.
- You should have the ability to lead, inspire, and develop a team, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency in common MS Office applications (Word/Excel/Outlook).
