The Isle of Wight College is excited to introduce two new level 3 courses this September. To help facilitate these courses we are now seeking 2 Lecturers in Criminology and/or Law on a Part-Time basis (19.5 hours).

About the role          

As a Criminology and/or Law Lecturer you would be required to plan, deliver, and assess learner work on our Level 3 Criminology and T Level Legal Services Programs. Inspiring and supporting our students to achieve their full potential by utilising a variety of teaching methods and resources to deliver engaging, high quality and innovative teaching across a range of levels. The qualification includes delivery on the fundamentals of law, third party professional services, an awareness of digital tools and technology within the industry and careers within the legal profession.

About you 

To be successful in this role you will be;

•Competent in delivering applications of Criminology 

•Have a clear understanding of different criminal investigation procedures

•Knowledge of criminal psychology in a forensic setting would be desirable

•Experience within industry including a court setting is a must

•Working knowledge of curriculum planning in line with awarding bodies and Ofsted requirement is desirable

•Knowledge of raising retention and achievement for own programme/curriculum area
