Role Overview: As a Criminology Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and informative lessons to students, fostering their interest in criminology and related subjects. Whether as a class tutor, lecturer, or cover supervisor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' learning experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in criminology, covering a range of topics and concepts.
- Engage students through interactive teaching methods and real-world examples to enhance their understanding and critical thinking skills.
- Provide support and guidance to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and assessments that align with educational standards and objectives.
- Fulfil the role of class tutor or cover supervisor as needed, ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of regular classroom teachers.
- Utilise innovative teaching techniques and technology to enhance the learning experience for students.
- A passion for criminology and a desire to inspire students in the subject.
- Previous experience teaching or tutoring in criminology or related fields is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
- Flexibility and adaptability to fulfil different teaching roles within the school environment.
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is NOT required for this position, but relevant experience and expertise in criminology are essential.
