Crisis Clinician - Mental Health

Sanctuary Personnel is currently looking for an experienced Band 5 or 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) to take on a new ongoing contract role as Crisis Clinician within a Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team in Oxford.

Location: Littlemore Mental Health Centre, Oxford.

Pay Rate: £30 per hour (assignment rate).

Contract Type: Locum, 3-months ongoing.

Working Hours:

• 37.5 hours per week.
• The service runs from 7am 12am, 365 days per year.
• Work a mix of early and late shifts of either 7.5 hours or 12.5 hours.
• Work flexibly to meet the demands of the service.

Main Duties:

• Support patients in the community who are experiencing a Mental Health crisis.
• Offer short term intervention and risk management with the aim of avoiding hospital admission or facilitating early discharge from inpatient care.
• As part of the multi-disciplinary team, prioritise patient care in a fun, friendly and supportive manner.

Requirements of the Community Psychiatric Nurse:

• Degree or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing.
• Experience working as a Mental Health Nurse, ideally including crisis and community risk management experience.
• NMC Registration.
• Have a valid NHS smartcard/UUID number.
• Full driving licence with access to a car.
• Available to start as soon as possible.
