We have a fantastic opportunity for a solutions focused individual with project management experience to join British Red Cross Crisis Response and Community Resilience Directorate team as a Crisis Response Service Coordinator.

A day in the life of a Crisis Response Service Coordinator will include;
  • Working with the national Crisis Response & Community Resilience Team and local Emergency Response Teams to plan and prepare for crises in the UK.
  • During a response, you will provide hands on administrative and logistical support, helping to coordinate large scale emergencies,
  • Working alongside operational teams and other Directorates to ensure the organisation is best able to meet the needs of people in crisis.
  • Supporting the Crisis Response and Community Resilience (CRCR) team across a range of portfolios, contributing toward the delivery of key projects and service development, as well as providing administrative and logistical support to the team.

The Crisis Response and Community Resilience (CRCR) team responds to the needs of people in crisis following an emergency, maintaining an extensive network of external relationships across emergency services, and other voluntary and community sector organisations.

This role could be for you if you have the following skills and experience;

  • Demonstrable general administrative and project coordination experience, preferably in an emergency planning environment
  • Able to plan, schedule and meet deadlines
  • Able to compose clear and concise reports
  • Experience of working in a deadline-driven environment
  • Experience of using information technology to circulate information
