Job description

We are recruiting for a CT/MRI Radiographer to support the Imaging Manager/Deputy Manager with the provision of senior leadership and delegated operational management, providing clinical expertise and advice in supporting the effective planning and implementation of high standards of patient-focused care, following hospital policies, guidelines, and protocols. Providing sound advice and support for the Imaging Team, including assuming day to day responsibility for the department in the absence of the Manger or Deputy Manager. To provide high quality diagnostic Radiographic CT/MRI images to all areas of service. This is a fixed term 12 month contract, to start January 2024. Working 30 hours, 3 x 10 hour shifts. Or full time 4 x 10 hour shifts.

About the role

Provide highest standards of radiographic imaging in all aspects of MRI and CT and assist with general radiography including theatre work, and fluoroscopy as may be required.
Effectively support junior members of the team including student and learners, RDA and Administration staff with all aspects of their roles and training needs.
Actively support all of the departments’ services and objectives, including the delivery of in-service training, audits and participating in peer review.
Be a link practitioner/assume responsibility for an area of practice (e.g. IP&C, Manual Handling, H&S, RPS).

Skills and experience required

  • BSc (Hons) Radiography or equivalent.
  • HCPC registered.
  • Minimum of 5 years Post Qualification experience.
  • Proven experience in MRI & CT.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Awareness of own skill level and ask for help when appropriate.
  • Competent in all aspects of Radiography.
  • Competent in cannulation.
