Working closely with the Curators and Head of Exhibitions, the Curatorial Assistant will help to deliver our mission to put artists and audiences at the heart of everything we do. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and delivering loan exhibitions and specially commissioned projects, with a particular responsibility around all aspects relating to the management of loans and budgets and the organisation of shipment and insurance.
The successful candidate will be a dynamic and engaged individual. They will relish the opportunity of working collaboratively with colleagues across the Whitechapel Gallery, with artists and external partners. They will work with other staff members to ensure that our programme (both physical and digital) engages meaningfully with diverse audiences, locally and globally. They will also have a firm commitment to and interest in contemporary art, especially in diversifying perspectives of art history.
