Curriculum Development Manager

Salary: GBP33,300-GBP43,400 per annum

Location: Cambridge, Hybrid, UK

Contract: 14 hours per week, fixed term until April 2025

About the role

This role is a hybrid-working role within the Curriculum Programmes team. We work with groups of schools and national bodies in a range of countries aiming to improve education systems as part of education reform projects. We are also responsible for developments for our Early Years, Primary and Lower Secondary programmes.

This wide-ranging work includes developing curricula, support materials and training for teachers, and other bespoke solutions to meet specific needs.

The role involves:

  • coordinating the development and review of curricula and support materials across the 3 19 age range, as well as, from time to time, other developments as required
  • sourcing appropriate consultants for this work, ensuring they are fully briefed and complete the work to a high standard
  • developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as colleagues in other areas of our project work, or representatives of our customers
  • managing a number of development projects to tight deadlines and to high quality standards.

This role may be of particular interest for existing part-time colleagues interested in taking on additional days in a different role in order to develop new skills and experience.

About you

You will:

  • have experience of working in the education sector and bring excellent knowledge and understanding to the developments you will manage in this role
  • have expertise in the age range, with expertise in mathematics or science highly desirable
  • have experience of identifying and managing teams of consultants
  • have the confidence and ability to run your own projects and co-ordinate the work of other team members across a range of subjects.

You may also:

  • have a background in curriculum and/or support material development
  • have worked within an international context
  • be able to conduct business in language(s) other than English.
