Rugby High school is a highly achieving girls Grammar school with a co-educational sixth form.  

Due to an internal promotion we are currently looking to appoint a Curriculum Leader of Food Preparationand Nutrition to take responsibility for this small, but highly successful department.  The prospective candidate should seek to embody the values and ethos of the school through the delivery of engaging and challenging lessons across KS3 and 4.  

This is a full or part time (0.6) position with a TLR 2a attached along with a Recruitment & Retention payment. The ability to offer another subject would be advantageous for those looking for a full time position.

Our students are keen and enthusiastic learners, they have enquiring minds and want to excel. We are looking to appoint someone who is passionate about their subject, who has high expectations and who can deliver excellence in the classroom. 

They must be committed to obtaining the best possible outcomes for all students by creating a fully inclusive environment. •    have a good degree in Food or a related subject
•    are passionate about your subject
•    have the ability to teach technical Food Preparation and cooking skills, alongside a thorough understanding of the science behind the functional and chemical properties of ingredients and processes
•    are eager to teach in a school in which students have a genuine love of learning
•    can ensure the progress of highly motivated high achieving cohorts
•    can lead the strategic direction of a department in line with the school’s ethos and values
