With over 28 years' experience our client are market leaders within their industry.
They are now looking for an Account Manager/Customer Service Assistant to cover a period of maternity leave. However, because of the growth plans the business has in place for 2024, this could lead to a permanent role for the right person.
Core Duties
- Provide full account management for our procurement customers, arranging collections from their UK site to either an interim site or destination.
- Agree and organise schedules with sites, deal with any additions or cancellations that arise during the course of the day.
- Liaise with our Planning and Scheduling Co-Ordinator in relation to the site schedules so that the appropriate freight can be booked.
- Deal with all the material and any queries that go into a 3rd party sites.
- Ensure that each site sends the correct paperwork and photos promptly, at the end of each day for those sites who have a weighbridge, they need to provide container information after the last loading so that we can submit to the shipping line to avoid any late submission charges.
- Study loading photos, ensuring that the full capacity of the trailer or container has been used, report any problems back to your line manager.
- Depending on where the material has been sold to enter the weights accurately onto the appropriate sheet for invoicing. Keep on top of any weights that are delayed due to being weight at a port.
- Actively communicate with each site establishing excellent working relationships with the key people on site, deal with any issues promptly and in line with service level agreements.
- Report any relevant feedback to the Managing Director and Sales Director i.e. low weights, low bale counts.
- Raising the necessary tickets onto their bespoke system
- Compile detailed monthly reports which are sent to customers after approval from our Managing Director.
- Promptly dealing with any queries and provide solutions where possible - escalate where necessary.
- Answer calls for the department.
Essential Skills
- Account Management experience dealing with multiple companies
- Have a sense of urgency

- Have a confident and can-do approach to work.
- Due to the nature of the role a high level of accuracy is required.
- Be able to work on your own initiative as well as being a strong team player.
- Be able to problem solve and react quickly to changes.
Full time role, Monday - Friday (part time can be considered)
9am - 5pm - but due to the very nature of the role a degree of flexibility is required
