We are looking for a Customer Strategy Specialist to join our Customer Connections Team in Warwick, working on a hybrid basis.
National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) owns and maintains the high-voltage electricity transmission network in England and Wales. Every time a phone is plugged in or switch is turned on, we’ve played a part, connecting you to the electricity you need.
You will be required to create content for internal and external consumption on reform to support stakeholder engagement. You will play a large role in developing evidence for our RIIO T3 business plans to help secure funding for NGET to deliver connections reform initiatives.
Connections Reform is an industry wide programme of work designed to resolve the issues within the connections landscape and implement futureproof arrangements to effectively facilitate customer connection and you will play a key role in supporting the implementation of connection reform initiatives and the transition to a new connections process due to go live in January 2025, through helping to create and manage project management tools and actions.
This role will also work in partnership with colleagues in Electricity Transmission (ET) Corporate Affairs (who will provide strategy for ET external communications) and the ESO (for who we work in partnership to develop and deliver connection reform initiatives).
About you
We are looking for someone who is highly organised and has experience in coordinating project plans and the communications that go alongside these. You will need to be highly organised and passionate about fixing problems.
You will have experience in taking high level information and summarising it for different audiences, understanding that not everyone absorbs information in the same way.
• Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
• Practical experience of preparing tailored articles, reports and presentations to engage relevant audiences
• Advanced use of PowerPoint is essential
• Excellent attention to detail
• Experience of working with third-party agencies
• Ideally, experience working with data within Excel
• A good understanding of the energy industry is preferable but not a pre-requisite

• Salary of £45,000 - £50,000 dependant on experience
