- Prepare and review documentation required for both air and sea import and export processes, including invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading/airway bills
- Complete and submit accurate customs declarations to ensure compliance with international and UK trade regulations
- Communicate with customers, customs authorities & internal stakeholders, providing regular clear updates on the status of shipments and offering guidance on customs-related matters
- Efficiently resolve any issues that occur relating to disputes, inspections or customs delays and communicate to relevant parties involved
- Determine appropriate tariff classifications for goods based on customs codes and calculate applicable duties, taxes, and fees.
- Previous experience working in custom clearance
- Knowledge of import and/or export processes, ideally in air or sea freight
- A high attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and efficiently manage workload
- Experience in Excise (Beer, Wine, Spirits) is desirable but not essential
