Cut and Crease Manager
Leicester, Leicestershire
Up to £57,000 plus package including life insurance, private health, pension, etc

We’re working in partnership with one of the market leaders within packaging solutions as they seek an experienced Cut and Crease Manager to bolster their senior management team. Situated within one of this company’s flagship production facilities, this £30 million turnover site specialises in high-quality packaging solutions to the pharmaceutical industry.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within the businesses manufacturing operations, ensuring that their processes meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

This is a full-time and permanent position and would be best suited to someone with exemplary leadership skills gained within a production manufacturing environment – ideally from the print, packaging, or pharmaceutical industries.
 
The Role
- Leadership: Manage and lead a large team of machine operators and production staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Change Management: Implement and oversee change management initiatives to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance product quality.
- Manufacturing Management: Oversee the daily operations of the Cut and Crease area, ensuring optimal machine performance, minimal downtime, and adherence to production schedules.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all Cut and Crease products meet the stringent quality standards required for pharmaceutical packaging.
- Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve cutting and creasing processes, focusing on reducing waste, lowering costs, and increasing productivity.
- Health and Safety: Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all health and safety regulations and ensuring that all team members are trained in safety protocols.
- Inventory Management: Manage raw materials and finished product inventories to ensure a smooth and efficient production process.
- Reporting: Maintain detailed records of production metrics, machine performance, and any issues encountered.
 
The Candidate
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a senior team member within a manufacturing environment, ideally within the print, packaging, or pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with a proven track record of managing, encouraging and developing teams.
-  Demonstrated success in implementing change management initiatives to improve processes and drive efficiency.
- An understanding of LEAN manufacturing principles within a busy manufacturing environment, gained within a print, packaging or pharmaceutical environment.
-  Strong commitment to quality control and ensuring that products meet high standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with other departments and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues promptly.
