Job Title: Cyber Incident Response & Vulnerability Manager

Location: Warton or Samlesbury, other site can be considered. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £52,084 + depending on experience

What you'll be doing:

  • Ensure Cyber Incidents are handled, and managed, in accordance with the Air Cyber Incident Management Process
  • Ensure the Air Cyber Incident Management process and corresponding playbooks, are continually improved and tested, incorporating lessons learned
  • Lead and provide technical expertise into Cyber Incident investigations through life, including root cause analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery activities
  • Document all incidents in line with the Air Cyber Incident Management process
  • Appropriately prioritise incidents, and where required, escalate to senior management / functional leads
  • Ensure vulnerability alerts are managed in accordance with the Air Vulnerability Management Process

Your skills and experiences:

  • A broad and comprehensive technical knowledge of IT infrastructure and technologies (with OT knowledge being an additional benefit)
  • An understanding of emerging cyber requirements and cyber security threats
  • Excellent understanding of government and industry standard security policy, standards and best practice guidance
  • Experience conducting, managing and defining Cyber Incident Response and investigation activities
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent worked experience) preferably in a related discipline
  • Professional IT Security qualification such as Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) / Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) would be desirable

The Air Sector Cyber team:

The Air Sector Cyber team are responsible for leading work groups to resolve Cyber Incidents over an extended period of time. This role will give you the opportunity to liaise with a range of stakeholders including senior internal/external stakeholders as well as stakeholders working on the latest military technology. This is a highly varied role where no two days are the same!
