We're on an exciting journey with a big vision as we grow our team to enhance our security and cyber operations. The Cyber design team is a small team of designers reporting to the Cyber Program Manager within the wider Technology Operations & Cyber Security team, that is accountable for delivery of Cyber solutions and designs. The team works closely with both internal colleagues and external 3rd parties, responsible for ensuring change across Cyber is managed and controlled effectively, developing robust, secure & resilient solutions to protect the banks customers and colleagues' data and services.The Cyber Lead Solutions Designer is part of this dynamic, high-performing change delivery team responsible for driving innovation and solutions to help drive our strategy forward.What you'll be doing
- Drive designs in keeping with platforms and/or project commitments.
- Be the champion of the platform driving best practice at all times.
- Define the solutions design for security network, operational and software solutions designs for security specific projects, meeting business requirements, architecture, security and deliverability.
- Lead the delivery of solutions designs that meet our purpose of "Being a secure digital bank our customers can trust"
- Assess and approve the security of in-house and third-party applications, services and infrastructure designs.
- Make security recommendations to improve the security of new or existing applications, services, processes and infrastructure designs.
- Identify key points that will require auditing to ensure future compliance with internal policy/standards, industry regulations or are indicators of compromise.
- Define security operation patterns to ensure that the security of applications, services and infrastructure are managed in line with existing security policies and principles agreed during the initial.
- Work closely with Security Architect and Technology colleagues to ensure that design options are effectively evaluated and that robust recommendations are made.
- Running design forums and workshops with developer, operational and business colleagues.
- Presenting solutions to senior stakeholders across the wider Technology Operations & Cyber Security teams and other CIO areas.
We need you to have
- Practical experience implementing/assessing risk against company and external standards.
- Experience in reviewing designs and enhancing security solutions against company and or external standards.
- Experience of leading delivery of secure solution designs and the operational implementation of solutions and multi project prioritisation.
- Strong relationship management, communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey key messages across all levels of the organisation, tailoring output accordingly.
- Experience of a range of Cyber technologies including, on-prem and cloud.
- Experience and delivery within Security NIST framework.
- Experience of working in waterfall and agile environments.
- Understanding and experience of design governance.

- Experience of delivering cyber solutions in financial organisation.
- Understanding of Zero Trust and modern Identity centric security architectures.
- Knowledge of Azure Cyber Security Architecture.
- Knowledge of Information Security concepts such as encryption using keys, SSL or HTTPS.
