Cyber Security Analyst required by a leading legal firm based in Liverpool. This is a great opportunity for an experienced 3rd Line Support Engineer with a passion for Cyber Security to progress into a Cyber Security Analyst.

Day to day, the Cyber Security Analyst will work with the Cyber Security Team Leader, Head of Infrastructure & Cyber Security team to identify trends and proactive improvement opportunities and make IT operations more efficient; monitor and manage the first line triage function of security operations, working closely with the IS Security Engineer and SOC; undertake vulnerability scans, assisting in undertaking and/or monitoring any remedial actions; research and learn about new technologies and threats to ensure security controls are current and optimal; be responsible for the timely creation and maintenance of quality documentation for both users and IS colleagues; ensure that all queries are dealt with in a professional, timely and appropriate manner.

The ideal Cyber Security Analyst will have a few years’ experience within 3rd line support where they gained experience within infrastructure engineering, have a qualification, prior knowledge, or passion for Cyber Security, have seen through both pro-active and re-active methods, and completed systems administration tasks such as patching and cloud infrastructure. Strong skills in PowerShell, SQL Server and Windows Server are also necessary.
