Job description

With our Cyber Security Analyst Industrial Placements, you will play a pivotal role in our Cyber Security command centres. Our role covers a range of exciting tasks, including cyber incident handling, threat hunting, cyber intelligence, digital forensics, and real-time analysis and monitoring of the HMRC environment.

Your responsibilities include leveraging security data from internal sensors to implement effective solutions, as well as keeping a close eye on various data sources for any signs of potential threats. Get ready to make a significant impact in the world of Cyber Security!

Essential Criteria

We are looking for an Industrial Placement with:

  • Interest and awareness of the importance of Cyber Security.
  • Ability to handle and analyse data from external sources.
  • Strong communicator, with excellent technical writing and dealing with external partners and interfaces.
  • Effectively communicate using verbal, written and presentation skills to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong team working skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Has attention to detail.

Eligibility Criteria

  • You must be in the penultimate year of your degree course.
  • Studying full time at university, towards a degree in one of the following:
    IT, Computer Science, Design/Web Design or Forensic-related degree.
  • You must have been a resident in the UK for a minimum of 5 years as this role requires Security Clearance.

If you are successful, your placement will start in early September 2024 and this will be for a minimum of 9 months. We can not accept placements any earlier than this.
