Your new company
You will be working for a large, well-known organisation within the education sector.
Your new role
As a Cyber Security Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the organisation\'s Cyber Security operations. Reporting to the Head of IT Operations, you will work collaboratively with technical service leads and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective security controls that protect IT systems and users from existing and emerging threats. You will also be responsible for delivering best practice security controls, processes, and plans.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Take day-to-day ownership of the Cyber Security operation.
  • Develop and implement effective security controls to ensure IT systems and users are protected from existing and emerging threats.
  • Work collaboratively with technical service leads and other stakeholders to deliver best practice security controls, processes, and plans.
  • Lead the development of Cyber Security Incident Plan (CIRP) with forensic readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with IT Security principles and standards including GDPR and CyberEssentials.
  • Manage server systems administration and patch management.
  • Manage AD, ADFS, AzureAD, M365 security, SIEM, Email security, DLP, Vulnerability Assessment and management tools and NGAV.
  • Manage Microsoft and Amazon Cloud services.
  • Provide team leadership, mentorship and coaching.


What you\'ll need to succeed

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Proven track record of team leadership
  • Substantial knowledge and experience of IT Security principles and standards including GDPR and CyberEssentials
  • Substantial knowledge and experience of server systems administration and patch management
  • Substantial knowledge and experience of AD, ADFS, AzureAD, M365 security, SIEM, Email security, DLP, Vulnerability Assessment and management tools and NGAV
  • Substantial knowledge and experience of Microsoft and Amazon Cloud services
  • Proven experience in developing Cyber Security Incident Plan (CIRP) with forensic readiness
