Job description

Internship Programme

 

June:

  • Research the key cybersecurity topics applicable to the energy sector, for UK (e.g. legislation, new threat reports, AI in cybersecurity)
  • Accompany the CISO on at least one site visit and document the experience.
  • Engage with the GSOC team and develop an understanding of incidents over the last 12 months.
  • Attend at least one Infosec event – with CISO (London)
  • Accompany the third-party / external team on at least one Penetration test & study and discuss the report with CISO.

 

July:

  • Work with CISO on ‘problem topics’ and ensure the root cause(s) are understood, highlighted, where needed, escalated if required.
  • Work with the CISO and the wider Digital and IT team, to ensure that cybersecurity KPIs are reflected on all the key platforms of the GBU.
  • Assisting the CISO with the ENGIE technology projects (OT Probe implementation preparation)
  • Assisting the CISO and the wider digital and IT team in creating the CAR (Critical Asset Resilience) mappings for entity.
  • Assist the CISO in delivering at least one training event for the local entity.

 

August:

  • Engage with other entity CISOs within the established meetings, on topics of importance, take notes / observe and discuss observations with CISO.
  • Analyse the existing Information Security Management System and research best practices on this topic.
  • Create a mapping between the ENGIE OT Framework v3.0 and the CAF assessment requirements. You will also have the chance to participate in other activities such as awareness campaigns, risk assessments, audits, and incident response.
  • You will gain valuable insights into the role and responsibilities of the CISO and the challenges and opportunities of information security in a global and diverse organization.

 

To be eligible for this internship, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • A strong interest and curiosity in information security and its impact on business and society.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
