Our client, an independent Cyber Security Consultancy, is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Cyber Security Consultant to join their expanding team. They work with a diverse range of clients, from large corporations and government agencies to small businesses, helping them develop robust security strategies.
About the Role
You will play a crucial role in ensuring the security of client data and digital services throughout their lifecycle—from planning and design to implementation and operation. This position requires a UK Government Security Check (SC) clearance, and our client will support your application if you meet the residency requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead security projects, focusing on cloud-based solutions.
- Provide expert advice on UK Government security standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify security gaps.
- Stay updated on new threats and develop controls to mitigate them.
- Guide clients on best practices for security architecture.
- Perform security testing on cloud and SaaS platforms.
- Ensure compliance with security frameworks like NIST and ISO 27001.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong understanding of cloud security (AWS, Azure) and hybrid cloud solutions.
- Familiarity with security standards (ISO 27001, NIST).
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and communicate findings to clients.
- Experience working with engineering teams on secure system designs.
- Knowledge of public cloud security architectures and best practices.
Desirable Skills
- Security certifications (CISSP, CISM, AWS Solutions Architect).
- Experience with DevOps and DevSecOps practices.
- Understanding of Data Protection & GDPR.
