Domestic Abuse Case Worker – Coastal Refuge
Hours: 20 per week
Salary: £24,028 pro rata
Job purpose:
- To provide an effective, supportive and confidential service for women and children requiring emergency refuge accommodation.
- To ensure that the refuge operational policies procedures are implemented and adhered to, and that all statistical data is collated and maintained for stakeholders and funding bodies.
- To support the Refuge Services Co-ordinator in developing the Refuge Service to deliver the best possible outcomes for refuge residents
Essential Requirements:
- Relevant qualification and/or two years’ experience of working with women and children who are experiencing domestic violence, for a statutory or voluntary agency.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience of safeguarding vulnerable adults and children.
- Ability to work on a rota over 7 days including evening work and take part in the out of hours on call system
- The ability to use Microsoft office is essential
- Full driving license, business insurance & use of a car to travel
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience in working in a residential setting
