Dark Kitchen Operative

Quest Employment are recruiting a Kitchen Operative to join a foodie team and step into the exciting world of food retail. We’re all about serving up fresh, delicious food, prepared daily in our Birmingham Kitchen, and delivered direct to stores in London and Birmingham on the same day. Perfect for customers on the go or those looking to enjoy a tasty breakfast at home.  

In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring the Birmingham Kitchen operates seamlessly.  

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following;  

• Food Preparation: Engage in basic food preparation, including chopping, measuring, and mixing ingredients and baking a delectable range of items such as Croissants and Bagels. This role also includes preparing finished products for sale, by wrapping and labelling products, ensuring high standards for eye-catching products. 
• Stocking: Maintain food preparation area and ensure timely restocking. 
• Cleanliness and Organisation: Keep the Kitchen impeccable clean and tidy before, during and after service, adhere to clean as you go policy. 
• Operational Excellence: Follow established opening and closing routines, control systems, and meticulous record-keeping practices.  
• Food Safety: Adhere to stringent personal hygiene standards and ensure strict compliance with food safety regulations.  
• Teamwork: Collaborate with your colleagues to achieve our shared goals, providing customers with superior experience and food! 
• Flexibility: Embrace a flexible approach, as shifts are required to cover operational hours from 10pm to 4am, Monday to Sunday.

• Food Safety: Holds a Basic Food Hygiene Level 2 certification
