About Havas People
Havas People is part of the Havas Group (one of the world’s largest communication groups). As the home of ‘Meaningful Brands,’ our Group purpose is to make a meaningful difference to the brands, the businesses, and the lives of the people we work with.
At Havas People, our focus is specifically on creating meaningful brands for the changing world of work and study. This means developing creative communications, for instance, for universities who need to attract students, or for companies who need to attract new employees and engage existing ones.
We are a bustling agency of passionate individuals who all bring their own expertise and work together across varying teams and disciplines. This means working alongside Client Service, Strategy, Creative, Social, Marketing and Digital teams to deliver the best results for our clients.
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to join a global, award-winning agency in a pivotal role. With a growing global footprint, Havas People is based in New York, London and Sydney.
The worlds of work and study are changing fast, and we help brands, businesses and people change with them. Through our work we change how our clients attract, talk and interact with their audiences. And we change people’s perceptions, behaviours and ambitions. What’s more, we do this right across the candidate, employee and student lifecycles. Influencing choices at every touchpoint, whether it’s helping talent make the right career move or students find the perfect university.
The Data Analysis Platformer should have these skills and interests:
Ultimately, we are offering a successful applicant the chance to join one of the leaders in our field and bring with them a sense of interest and a strong desire to learn and challenge themselves. The following are some ideal attributes we would like to believe a successful applicant sees in themselves:
  • An interest for Data Analysis and visualisation.
  • A curiosity about what the numbers behind performance can reveal and a desire to tell stories through data.
  • Strong logical and lateral thinking abilities, as well as being a keen problem-solver. You can connect the dots, spot patterns, and think outside the box.
  • The ability to think quickly and act decisively.
  • Experience using Google Looker Studio would be a huge plus but is not essential. If you're already familiar with this tool, we'll be over the moon. If not, don't worry, we'll provide the training and support you need to become a Looker maestro.
What we are looking for:
Reporting to the Head of Data & Analysis and ultimately the Media Director, you will see behind the curtain of data of how we operate as a department and be taught at every stage how we generate and leverage the power data and analysis, to help our clients answer the question, “so, how did we do?”.
In our quest to answer this, you will be taken under the wings of the Metrics Team, and introduced to the wider Media Team that we liaise with daily. This will aide in your integration within the Havas People team and ensure you have solid footing to grow your knowledge, lateral and critical thinking skills as you begin your journey in the world of Data Analysis.
We will train you so you can gain an understanding of not only what we do as a department, but also how we then collaborate with other teams with a mind to answering the aforementioned question. You will be shown around all the tools at our disposal, from our Ad Server tool, Google CM360, to our data visualization platform, Looker Studio, you will also be given access to these (once you feel confident enough) so you can get hands-on experience with these too.
During your time with us, we will also show you our processes from initial scoping out of a project, to understanding what tracking needs to be implemented to answer the specific advertising campaign’s KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), to how we then design and build our reporting out.
On the 6 Month programme, you’ll be involved in:
  • Data Reviewing: Roll up your sleeves and dive into data sets, ensuring they are clean, organised, and ready for analysis. You'll be our last line of defense too, fighting against typos, missing values, and other data demons that may crop up ahead of delivery to our internal / external stakeholders.
  • Data visualisation: Once we have taken through our Data Visualisation tool (Google Looker Studio), you will be free to unleash your inner creative side and transform complex data into visually compelling stories.
  • Insight and Analytical Conclusions: Draw insights from the data available on the performance of campaigns as well as industry/sector benchmark data. Enable insights to be drawn easily from the data available by the wider team.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our cross-functional teams, including account managers, creative designers, and marketing experts. You'll be the bridge between data and strategy, collaborating to achieve the best possible results.
Teams you’ll work with:
  • Media team
  • Strategic Planning
  • Client Services (account management)
  • Digital
  • Social Media
Our values are a driving force behind our culture – guiding our behaviours and decision making and inspiring us as we look to the future. We expect our employees to live our values every day:
  • Be Brave: The comfort zone gets boring. So, look forward. Relish challenges. Let your passion, determination, and curiosity loose, and never stop pushing boundaries.
  • Champion Inclusion: Your voice matters. Use it. Play your part to build a culture where every person belongs, and we all feel valued. We know we can always improve. It takes empathy, an open mind, and the willingness to act.
  • Make It Collaborative: We are fortunate to work in a community of talent. Make the most of the diverse experience and expertise of those around you by learning, sharing, and contributing to collective thinking that helps us take a leap forward.
  • Take Pride: Never settle. With your work, and with your own career, aim for nothing less than excellence. Let that drive inspire you to go the extra mile and feel the excitement when you surprise even yourself.
