Key responsibilities
- Work closely with the Pricing & Underwriting Leadership team to understand and maintain focus on their analytical needs, including identifying critical metrics and KPIs, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers
- Proactively analyse data to answer key questions from stakeholders or out of self-initiated curiosity with an eye for what drives business performance, investigating and communicating areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity
- Define and implement data acquisition and integration logic, selecting appropriate combination of methods and tools
- Develop and maintain data sources by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources, and build scripts that will make our data evaluation process more flexible or scalable across data sets
- Assisting various business areas when they need help finding, building, or understanding data sources
- Provide technical input and effective data analysis to projects to support the achievement of deliverables to time and budget.
- Oversee / quality check data, reviewing outputs against quality standards and continually looking for process improvement
- Build relationships, develop and gain buy-in with internal stakeholders by understanding the needs of departments and influencing change backed with data.
- Produce documentation to support your findings, and to present to stakeholders when necessary. Using visual, verbal and written skills to turn complex concepts into accessible insights.
- Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies; developing and maintaining protocols for handling, processing and cleaning data
- Evaluate organisational methods and provide source-to-target mappings and information-model specification documents for data sets
Qualifications
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation technique's
Knowledge and Experience:
- Data focused with experience of working in an analyst role
- Experience in working in a Financial Services environment
- Experience in a similar role, working in a B2B environment
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (PowerBI etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (Python, R, XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks)

- Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
