The Opportunity:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Vet UG Admissions and Recruitment team, to specifically analyse quantitative data on how widening participation students studying Veterinary Medicine are performing on programme and how this compares to the scores they achieved during the admissions process.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week), on campus position, fixed term contract - 12 weeks

This internship is part of the Employ.ed on Campus programme which is run by the Careers Service in collaboration with university departments and Schools. It offers exclusive summer internships at the University over the summer for 2nd year to penultimate-year undergraduate students from the University of Edinburgh based in the UK. You cannot take part if you are a visiting student, or you have already taken part in the programme before.

Expected commencement date: June 3rd 2024 (12 week internship)

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • High level of research analytical skills, knowledge of mathematics, statistics, spreadsheets and is competent in using Microsoft Office.
  • Experience of quantitative analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to compile summary reports on research findings.
Strong planning and organisational skills.
