Are you a talented Analyst looking to enrich your career within a brand new analytics centre of excellence?  At Costa Coffee, we are excited to be recruiting for 2 analysts to provide compelling insight and analysis using our brand new pricing tool which will be deployed to support our Global markets.  We are seeking a unique combination of technical competence using data analysis tools and programming languages with a natural flair for providing data and insight for decision making.  You will infuse magic and creativity to support the business in driving forward decisions around pricing and promotions.

A bit about the role...

Day to day, you’ll be responsible for collecting, cleaning, modelling, analyzing and reporting data from various sources, as well as creating data visualizations and dashboards to communicate your findings.  Additionally you will be

• Gathering, cleaning, and processing data from various sources, such as databases, APIs, web scraping, surveys, etc.
• Performing exploratory and descriptive data analysis to identify patterns, trends, outliers, and anomalies
• Applying statistical and machine learning techniques to build predictive and prescriptive models and test hypotheses
• Generating and presenting data reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio
• Communicating data findings and insights to internal and external stakeholders using clear and concise language and storytelling

A bit about you…

Fuelled by a passion for data analysis is just the start of what we’re looking for. So, what else makes a great Analyst at Costa Coffee? 

• Educated to degree standard in a statistics, mathematics, computer science, or engineering or similar discipline or equivalent experience
• Proven Data Analyst or data scientist, preferably with track record working in a related industry or domain data domain within customer marketing environment
• Experience in interrogation and analysis of POS, Consumer offtake and external data is key
• Experience in price and promotion, marketing mix and assortment or range modelling would be preferred
• Proficient in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or SAS
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio
• Sector knowledge of Retail, QSR or FMCG preferred.  Background within a Pricing Analytics agency considered
• Understanding of Machine Learning tools advantage
• Motivation derived from measurable results, coupled with keen analytical skills to understand and dissect data
• A team player, eager to engage and collaborate with stakeholders

Location: Remote with the ability to attend our London office a minimum of once a week.
