Data Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join on a temporary contract for a minimum of 6 months. This is a critical requirement, needing exceptional data Analysis skills and good knowledge of the MS ACCESS database. Working within a fast-paced, friendly finance team you will have excellent exposure to the operation and gain valuable insight into the workings of a large utility organisation.What you will be doing as a Data Analyst

• You will be responsible for the creation of high-quality reports that provide insightful information on the company's monthly Capex performance, Budget and Forecasts.
• Working with different stakeholders within the business, you will be responsible for the generation of data and production of key Capex month-end reports and forecasting and budgeting reports, using HFM, SAP, Power BI, macros and SQL (ACCESS Database).
• Supporting the finance transformation activities especially rationalisation of reports and automation of spreadsheets and building crucial report checks to ensure consistency between different reports.
• You will support building Budget and Forecast reports with optimal extraction, transformation, and capturing of data from a wide variety of data sources.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimising data delivery, and standardising processes.
• Build the processes/ tool for optimal extraction, transformation, and capturing of data from a wide variety of data sources.

What you should bring to the role?

• Significant experience in dealing with considerable amounts of data and attention to detail. Knowledge of SQL (ACCESS Database) is essential for the role.
• Ability to work through complex issues and demonstrate understanding of the detail whilst holding the bigger possibility.
• Strong project management skills with excellent levels of self-motivation.
