Form of workThe Analytics Team Lead in IT and Digital – Software Engineering, will be managing a focused and dedicated team of data specialists, consisting of Data Engineers and Data Scientist to manage, enhance and deliver a scalable data platform to the University.
About You
The Analytics Team Lead will have excellent knowledge of Agile working principles to the Team to ensure effective and managed delivery of all required output from the Team. You will set targets for individuals and ensure coach individuals to perform at their best. You will provide experience to ensure best practices are met as well as continuous improvement in the Team's delivery.
You will have a broad knowledge of current market trends in data technology platforms. We primarily utilise the Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform, but we consume and make available data from a variety of market standard and higher education data and applications.
Role specific information:
They will:
- Manage, develop and support the team to ensure the successful delivery of transformational programmes and projects within the purview of Analytics systems as they may arise.
- Have a deep understanding of Analytics tools and technologies and accompanying regulations and compliance including:
- GDPR
- Have excellent domain knowledge of Analytics technologies and methods including:
- Visualisation and reporting tools
- Enterprise database technologies
- Data Warehousing and Data Lakes
- Data architecture and governance
