Are you an experienced Data Architect? Have you architected a Data Platform built on Azure platform? Are you passionate about Data Governance?
I am hiring a Data Architect/Tech Lead on behalf of one of the UK's biggest Hospitality businesses. They are currently undergoing a massive data transformation which will change how this business will utilise data moving forward.
Essential skills
- Experience in maintaining up-to-date domain knowledge of emerging technology trends and developments.
- Knowledge of big data platform.
- Practical knowledge of data governance through use of data cataloguing and quality tools.
- Demonstrable experience with automated build and container tools preferably Azure based, i.e., DevOps and Kubernetes.
- Lambda Architecture and Big data processing techniques
- Azure, Databricks , SQL & Python
- Desirable but not essential - Development of standards and ways of working that promote an integrated technical capability within the data CoE.
Role responsibilities
- Produce and uphold high-quality architectural design documentation for the Data Platform.
- Specify data structures and access patterns to ensure secure and easily accessible data based on requirements.
- Serve as the technical visionary, keeping the Data CoE and architect teams informed about emerging data technologies and architectural advancements, such as data mesh.
- Manage a practical roadmap for technical changes, influencing delivery with a hands-on approach to creating prototypes for testing and implementation, aligning with the vision of a future Data Platform for a truly data-driven organization.
- Comprehend business requirements and translate them into elegant data solutions/products, collaborating with architects, analysts, and developers.
- Define and maintain a reference architecture in collaboration with the Principal Data Architect, providing a future view of the product aligned with the strategic vision.
- Act as the Data Technical Governance Authority, offering assurance and feedback in line with design principles for colleagues presenting at the Data Design Authority.
