With that in mind we’re looking for a Data Engineer within our Data Science Team to help us as we do so.
Are you familiar with cloud computing platforms like Azure and skilled in building/deploying analytics pipelines using tools like Synapse? Do you have proven coding skills with Python, and perhaps have knowledge of software engineering best practices? And do you have strong SQL knowledge/experience?

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Working as part of the Data Science and Analytics team within our Asset Intelligence and Innovation area, you will be tasked with continually increasing our understanding of our customers, our operations, helping us to deliver value from data, respond to incidents and infrastructure failures and develop frameworks for analysing interactions.
The Data Engineer role is to integrate the technology platforms with data sources, data sinks, and to provide guidance/expertise to maximize value from our analytics investments. To provide guidance and expertise, you must be able to communicate well and effectively in this role. You will essentially work as a translator, turning very data heavy information into easy-to-read advice to non-technical stakeholders and colleagues.
This is a role that requires someone with a continuous improvement mindset as the Data Science and Analytics team take pride in producing innovative solution that have never been seen in the industry before.

In this role we will look for you to have previous experience using program analytics Python or similar and a good level of SQL skills and also Cloud computing. You will also have good communication and organisational skills and analytical skills.
