Hays Technology are recruiting a Data Governance Analyst to join a growing public sector organisation based in the Leeds area. You will be reporting to the Data Governance Lead and this is a brand new role to join the team.
Your new role
In your new role, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of Data Governance, data management, and data protection practices. You will be supporting the business to understand the Data Governance policy and their responsibilities to it, to promote best practice and ensure compliance.
You will also be engaging with a range of stakeholders to improve Data Governance and quality, ensuring Data Owners are adequately supported and trained in their roles, whilst ensuring new and existing data assets, products, and services adhere to the Data Governance Framework, relevant policies, standards and controls.
What you'll need to succeed

• Knowledge and understanding of data management, Data Governance, and data quality concepts
• Experience using Data Governance tools within a Microsoft Architecture (e.g. Fabric, Purview, Power BI, and Excel)
• Experience and knowledge of documentation of data assets and data lineage
• Proven experience in similar Data Governance roles
• Experience working in Fintech or Banking would be beneficial
