Data Governance and Data Privacy Consultant
Salary national up to £35,000
We are currently seeking a Data Governance and Data Privacy Consultant to be a part of our Data Governance and Privacy team! This is a fantastic, varied role that will provide you with the prospect to truly enhance your skills and experience.
If you have experience with Data Governance and Data protection principles, this role could be ideal for you! Understanding and protecting our data, allows us to understand and protect our customers. Using specialist knowledge, the team provide advice and direction to ensure data remains protected and is processed in accordance with our data standards and compliance frameworks.
A bit about the job:
As the Data Governance and Data Privacy Consultant, you will be a key part of the Data Governance and Privacy team, which are responsible for the oversight of all data related activities across General Insurance (GI) and Digital channels.
This is a varied role, which will encompass many of the activities our team undertake, including Data Governance, record keeping, data quality, data protection compliance and managing our data risks. The data we hold is a fundamental component of Aviva’s assets: high quality, well-managed business data is a key enabler for the successful delivery of our business strategy.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
  • An understanding of data protection and Data Governance management principles as well as an understanding of the risks related to non-compliance with legislation
  • Experience with FCA regulated operational risk and risk insights in financial services is desirable
  • Good knowledge of risk and controls frameworks and a self-starter with the ability to manage your own workload, and multitask effectively
  • Experience with managing customer data with a view to ensuring customer’s breaches, complaints and rights requests are dealt with in line with regulatory timescales
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications - produce packs, Excel – intermediate
