We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Governance Lead in Lisbon, Portugal.
As a Data Governance Lead you will play a pivotal role in promoting a culture driven by data. This position will concentrate on the Commercial data sector, encompassing data associated with sales, marketing, medical, market access, and related business operations and ensure efficient, effective delivery aligning with overall business objectives.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Proven background in a senior role within Data Governance, data office, or data management.
- In-depth understanding of Data Governance and data management principles.
- Track record of designing, implementing, and assessing data policies and standards.
- Experience in defining, monitoring, and addressing data quality issues.
- Strong skills in stakeholder engagement and managing organisational change.
- Proficient in using collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint) for information and documentation management.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with a talent for influencing others to meet objectives.
- Experience in deploying Data Governance tools, glossaries, dictionaries, and catalogues (e.g., Talend, Collibra).
- Familiarity with principles of user access and security.
- Understanding of privacy regulations and principles (e.g., GDPR).
- Awareness of ethical and regulatory risks associated with AI.
- Knowledge of risk management practices.
- Experience in working within a complex, global organisation.
- Background in handling corporate finance, customer, vendor, or healthcare data.
- Awareness of the pharmaceutical industry and business domain knowledge.
