Data Journalist, Private Equity

This is an opportunity for an ambitious Data Journalist to impact the reporting of one of the best-known Private Equity news services.

Known for their high-quality subscription services, magazines, and content-led events, they have recently built a comprehensive data offering and are looking for an experienced Data Journalist to collaborate with an established team of reporters and editors.

We are looking for someone with a strong technical skillset with the drive and ambition to be proactive in pitching ideas for stories and models.

Key responsibilities include:

• Using in-house data and sourcing external data to influence story ideas
• Pitch and write data lead stories about Private Equity deals and trends
• Use data visualisation tools to create dynamic digital graphics
• Use coding to create repeating models for stories (for earnings season, for example)

Key requirements include:

• A degree or significant professional experience as a Data Journalist
• A good understanding of capital markets and Private Equity
• Strong technical ability in data visualisation and coding (Python, Power BI, Excel, or Tableau, for example)
