Job description

Data Quality Manager
£43,600 - £54,500 plus great benefits (Work Level 5)
Manchester city centre (hybrid working)

We're open to applications from candidates who may require flexible working arrangements, such as condensed working hours. There'll be an opportunity to discuss your flexible working requirements during the interview process, and at offer stage.

We're looking for a Data Quality Manager to join us in Manchester to make sure we're successfully implementing our Data Quality policy across Co-op. We'll look to you to help transform the way we collect and manage data, and champion the value of having good Data Quality. In this role you'll work in a hybrid way - splitting your time between home and the office (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).

What you'll do

  • Help to deliver the data strategy across Co-op, working with our Senior Data Quality Manager to define roadmaps and plans focused on Data Quality
  • Support the data ownership community in embedding our Data Quality policy across Co-op
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the business to improve Data Quality, maturity, and culture
  • Provide Data Quality expertise and assurance to a variety of programmes and projects, championing the value of good Data Quality
  • Create, share, and enable the use of reports that provide visibility of Data Quality measurements, and identify any potential risks or issues that need resolving
  • Carry-out regular reviews to help define Data Quality policies, standards, artefacts, and assurances
  • Support our Data Quality Analysts in delivering their responsibilities

This role would suit people who have

  • Significant experience in Data Quality (e.g. definition, measurement, improvement, and risk management) and data reporting (e.g. KPIs, trends, forecasts etc)
  • Experience implementing Data Quality strategies, policies, standards, rules, and improvements
  • Experience using tools to support data management (e.g. SAP Information Steward, Microsoft Azure
  • Products, Databricks, Microsoft PowerBI etc)
  • Good collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously
  • Good relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to a non-technical audience

Why Co-op?

If you've got the skills and experience we're looking for, we can offer you a competitive salary and great benefits package which includes 30% off Co-op branded products in our food stores (as well as other discounts on Co-op products and services). You'll also get:

  • Private healthcare
  • An annual bonus (based on personal and business performance)
  • 28 days holiday (rising to 32 with service) plus bank holidays
  • A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
  • Access to a subsidised onsite gym (at our Manchester HQ)
  • Coaching and training to support your career development
  • Wagestream - a money management app that gives you access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it
  • YuLife - an app that rewards you for exercising with discounts and vouchers for your favourite brands
