We are seeking a Data Quality Manager to join our dynamic team. The Data Quality Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability and integrity across the reporting portfolio at The FA.

The role will report to the Data Lead and will work closely with business stakeholders and Digital Technology (DTE).

We work within a hybrid policy whereby you will be expected to be in the office a minimum of 2 days a week (and when required), the remaining days being worked remotely.

What will you be doing?

  • Establish and embed Data Quality standards, policies and procedures across The FA's reporting portfolio
  • Develop and maintain a Data Quality framework to identify, monitor and communicate Data Quality KPIs and metrics
  • Set up and manage a data council of data owners and data stewards across business divisions to identify and resolve Data Quality issues, and share best practice to inspire and drive opportunities in data management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Digital Technology to drive Data Quality initiatives
  • Manage, govern and curate data across The FA using Microsoft Purview
  • Maintain a comprehensive documentation of Data Quality rules, processes and procedures
  • Provide training and support to promote and embed a Data Quality mindset across the organisation
  • Stay up to date with best practice and latest trends
  • Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group changing priorities.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained.
  • As part of The FA's commitment to ensuring a safe environment for everyone in football, every employee will be required to complete a DBS check. The level of the check required will be based on the activity of the specific job role and in line with legislation and government guidance.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics)
  • Proven and substantial experience in a Data Quality management role
  • Strong understanding of Data Quality concepts, methodologies, frameworks and best practices
  • Experience in using Microsoft Purview and other Data Quality tools
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical abilities
  • A self starter that is able to bring ideas and initiatives to life

Our Organisation

The Football Association [The FA] is the not-for-profit governing body of football in England. It is responsible for promoting and developing every level of the game, from grassroots through to the professional game, and generates significant revenue to support investment into English football each year.

We currently work within a hybrid working model whereby the expectation is to work from your contractual location for part of the week, and as and when required by the team. The remaining days can be worked remotely. We will continue to monitor this model and it may be adjusted in future if deemed necessary.

Your contract with The FA will specify a fixed location of either Wembley Stadium, St. George's Park or our Processing Centre, unless the role is advertised as a homebased contract. The contractual location of this role can be found at the top of this advert on our FA vacancy page.
