SalaryOne of the UKs largest banks is looking to expand its Edinburgh technical function by adding a Data Science Manager within the audit department.
In this role, you will manage a multi-functional team across Data Science, Data Engineering, Software development, Web Devs and more. this role will require you to oversee the projects throughout the internal auditing process, ensuring they are kept correct, increasing the bank's reliability & accuracy.
it is a department that has 90% of work move into production and passed on to the machine learning team. The requirements of this team are to carry out text analytics, scraping documents for audit, deploying Web applications, making the life of auditors easier and more.
Alongside this, you will be required to:
* Lead multiple concurrent Data Science and application development projects with a high level of autonomy.
* Take charge of leading and managing other team members and stakeholders, acting as a project manager, and implementing agile project management methodologies and best practices in software development.
* Foster collaborative efforts across the audit function, actively identifying innovative opportunities to apply Data Science techniques for enhancing business monitoring, optimizing audit planning, and improving audit delivery processes.
You must have expertise in Data Science, with a comprehensive understanding of software engineering, data engineering, and web development, particularly in the context of Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Proficient in mainstream Data Science programming languages like Python and R, you must be adept at utilising data analytics tools such as SQL, PowerBI, and SAS.
Additionally, hands on experience in web application development using technologies like Django, Bootstrap, and jQuery provides an added advantage to your skill set.
The role is paying a salary up to £74,000 per annum and is offering a hybrid working schedule with 2 days a week in the office in the centre of Edinburgh.
