Job Summary

  • As Data Scientist you will use statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to analyse data and extract insights. Building predictive models and algorithms to solve specific business problems or optimise processes. Presenting findings and insights to stakeholders through clear and effective visualisations. Working with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and develop data-driven solutions. Keeping up to date with the latest advancements in data science, tools, and techniques. Ensuring data privacy and ethical use of data in all aspects of analysis and decision making.

You’ll work collaboratively within the data and insight team, contributing to our shared goals. Continuously developing and refining these skills is essential for success within the role.

What You'll Do

  • Data standards and security: Follow and maintain data standards, ensuring data privacy and ethical use of data in all aspects of analysis and decision making.

Who You Are

  • Proficient in languages like Python, R, or SQL for data manipulation, analysis and modelling.
  • Adept understanding of statistical methods and techniques for analysing data distributions, correlations, and trends.
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques for predictive modelling, classification, regression, clustering, and natural language processing.
  • Ability to create clear and effective visualisations using tools like PowerBI or Tableau to communicate insights.
  • Familiar with big data frameworks like Azure or distributed computing platforms for handling large datasets.
  • Skills in cleaning data, transformation, data engineering to prepare data for analysis.
  • Understanding of database systems and query languages (e.g. SQL) for data retrieval and storage.
