We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Data Strategist to join our growing Data Transformation team in Royal London Asset Management.
The Data Strategist will join the data strategy and transformation team and will support RLAM organisation's data and artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives. They will work closely with the Data & AI Strategy manager, collaborating with various stakeholders to develop and implement data-driven and AI-powered solutions that support business objectives.

About the role
- Support the running of the communities of practices, identify experts, collect best practices to create methodology, and run the sessions.
- Assist with the communication plan, schedule sessions, help prepare content, and update the data knowledge base.
- Contribute to deliverables associated with the data and AI strategy, such as deliverable tracking, AI log registering to ensure readiness for the EU AI act equivalent in the UK, and definition of use cases.
- Support the increasing demand for PowerBI consultancy services and work closely with the Data Governance team to accelerate BI governance.
- Guide the implementation of responsible AI and AI governance, such as Ethics forum and meetings.
- Assist in the setup of the AI COE, including the creation of its own communication and learning plan, use case log, and other related tasks.
About you
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in a relevant field such as data science, computer science, statistics, or a related field.
- Working experience in a data-related or data strategy role, with exposure to AI concepts and technologies.
- Strong understanding of data analysis techniques, statistical analysis, and data visualisation.
- Familiarity with AI concepts, which may include machine learning algorithms and LLM.
- Some understanding of data governance/management principles focusing on ethical considerations in data and AI would be desirable.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, run workshops and communicate with confidence and credibility.
- Curious and innovative – generation of new ideas
- Self-starter with effective time management, the ability to prioritise and work under minimal supervision.
