The Role

As Data Systems Developer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Tritium Fuel Cycle Division carrying out development of existing and new Data Systems that is key to support the efficient tracking, information gathering and storage of data that ensures compliance with regulatory, planning and management requirements enabling the planning and execution of operations. You must be safety conscious and able to work independently or as part of a team. It’s essential that you are organised and thorough, as the data being managed is critical to Fusion and UKAEA.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Design and develop Data Systems and graphical user interfaces to enable others to enter and manage data for commercial and regulatory purpose.
- Ensure appropriate systems development and management through using UKAEA chosen systems/processes, such as the Management of Data Assistance Services (MIDAS) tool and Systems Improvement Programme (SIP) issue tracking.
- Modify interrogation systems to generate reports and perform data analysis.
- Deliver new Data Systems or modifications to existing systems through engaging with stakeholders, identifying requirements, defining specifications and task-management of agency supplied workers; working within defined budgets and schedules.
- Ensure quality control; generate and contribute to periodic regulatory compliance reports as required (such as for radioactive waste accumulation)
- Promote current best-practice, developing and delivering training in the use of Data Systems for both UKAEA staff and contractors. Assist with the co-ordination and tracking of training.
