Job title:                     Data Visualisation Officer

Grade:                         D

Salary:                       £27,802 per annum (rising by annual increments to £30,296) More information on salaries and progression can be found on our pay and policies page.

Hours:                         Full Time – 37 hours per week

Location: The service encourages flexible working and believes that work is what you do not where you do it. The role will be based at Poundbury Support Offices with the flexibility to work from home / DWFRS Stations / Support Offices and we would welcome a conversation with the successful candidate on what type of flexible working arrangement will work best for you.  There will be a requirement to attend your base location for key activities and meetings.

As a Data Visualisation Officer in our Corporate Support department you will:

  • Use specialist tools such as PowerBI, support on the development of dashboards and Data Visualisations within the Service. Ensuring the content is displayed in a manner that will be understood by the relevant user.
  • Work with senior strategic and middle managers in determining their data and performance information requirements to meet the aims of the service delivery plan.
  • Support on the development, production and progression of community risk profiles to support the targeting and prioritisation of corporate and frontline resources to achieve Service action plans.

What makes you our ideal Data Visualisation Officer

  • You have 4 GCSE passes at Grade C / Level 4) or above including English and Mathematics, or equivalent Level 2 qualification.
  • You hold a NVQ 3 or equivalent vocational qualification in a related subject area.
  • You have experience of extracting data from and interrogating databases and working to data protection and confidentiality procedures.
  • You are proficient in the following software; Excel, Word, PowerPoint and use of the internet.

Other Information:

  • You must be able to fulfil the travel requirements of the role.
  • A Standard Disclosure & Barring Service Check (DBS) clearance will be undertaken on the successful individual prior to offer of employment. You will be required to register with the DBS Update Service and maintain this registration annually.
  • Any offer of employment will be subject to full pre-employment checks which include identity checks, right to work in the UK, medical and receipt of satisfactory references.
