Data Workstream Lead

We are currently working with a large public sector organisation in Birmingham to recruit a Data Workstream Lead for their People Services team following a recent systems implementation.

This position is a long-term contract role, expected to last a minimum of six months with a high likelihood of extension, offering hybrid working (4 days working from home) and circa £500-£600 a day via an umbrella company.

This role will be a mix of project management and data management and will require close collaboration with multiple stakeholders, including the HR Shared Services and IT teams.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Capturing data related workstream deliverables and data dependencies for all programme areas
• Creating Data Workstream plans and project managing the delivery of plans
• Reporting on data work stream progress
• Liaising with the IT function and Oracle programme team to ensure business requirements are translated into technical requirements and representing People Services data interests at Design Authority and CAB
• Leading all People Services data requirement capture activities created in the HR Shared Service process design work stream
• Creating a Requirements Traceability Matrix
• Ensuring data ownership within People Services is clear and defined
• Designing, testing and implementing data extraction routines, ensuring they comply with data governance rules and that any work arounds are capable and quality assured
• Designing and implementing reports that fully meet business requirements for People Services
• Setting up and leading data cleansing activities where required

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Previous experience using the Oracle system is highly desirable
• Previous experience managing Data Workstreams and data capture activity

Working hours:

• 37.5 hours a week
• Monday – Friday 9am-5pm
