Overview
We're working with a company based in Aberdeen who are a market leading manufacturer in the energy sector. Their products are present across the world, the company have placed huge focus on their work in the renewables sector whilst also supplying some companies in oil and gas too.
This company are looking for a Database and Reporting Engineer, much like other companies in the energy sector they're growing, and they're capitalising on changes in the industry with a larger focus being placed on Hydrogen. There's a team of 11 within the IT team and you'd be leading the company's data ambitions, insights are extracted to support the wider internal business. They also have a really strong team since they have such low-staff turnover, with many members spending over 10 years at the company.
Responsibilities
- Engage with colleagues within the wider business specifically those within the business systems team.
- Lead the day-to-day administration, planning and performance tuning of their databases.
- Implement and enhance Database and Reporting solutions.
Desired Skills
- Advanced understanding of SQL and T-SQL
- Experience with SQL Server tools such as SSAS and SSRS
- Bachelor's Degree in an IT. related field
